Shantel Laird

Shantel is the Senior Commercial Deposit Officer for our Commercial Deposit Department. Shantel has more than 30 years of experience in banking, spanning almost all facets of the industry. Of those, 25 have focused on her specialty of working with Business Depository Customers, Public Funds, and Cash Management Services. Shantel even set up one of the first online business banking customers in Sandusky County.

Shantel attended Terra Community College and has completed several specialty programs through ABA, OBL, and CBAO, and has also earned her Insurance and Series 6 license. She currently serves as the Vice President of the Fremont City School Board of Education and participates in various local charity events.

Education is Shantel’s passion. Shantel teaches business owners that almost every life event, economic change, world event, and even local event has a financial impact. Shantel enjoys guiding business owners and public entities through changes that affect not just the business owners but their employees, and she even sees the effect this can have on the entire community. She feels that the most rewarding task she has accomplished was during the first week of the PPP loan offering. During the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic, she helped local business owners secure funds to cover payroll and saw the difference she made in their lives.
