Welcome Home Program
Buying a home is a big step, and the Welcome Home Program (WHP) is here to help make it more affordable. Eligible homebuyers can receive up to $20,000 in grant funds to assist with down payment and closing costs. Funds will be available for reservation on a first-come, first-served basis beginning at 8:00 am ET on March 3, 2025, and will remain available until all funds have been reserved.

Homebuyer Counseling for First-Time Buyers
Required for those who haven’t owned a home in the last three years.
No Repayment Required
This is a grant, not a loan, so you don’t have to pay it back.
Low Personal Contribution
Only $500 required from the buyer.
Am I Eligible?
To qualify for Welcome Home grant funds, homebuyers must meet the following criteria:
Income Limit
Must be ≤80% of the Mortgage Revenue Bond (MRB) limit for your county/state.
Signed Purchase Agreement
A fully executed contract is required.
$500 Minimum Contribution
Must be applied toward down payment or closing costs.
Homebuyer Counseling
Required for first-time homebuyers.
Is My Property Eligible?
The property you’re purchasing must meet the following criteria:
Primary Residence
Must be owner-occupied.
Eligible Property Types:
- Single-family homes, townhomes, condos
- Duplexes & multi-unit homes (up to 4 units)
- Qualified manufactured homes (real estate taxed, permanently affixed)
5-Year Retention Period
The Federal Home Loan Bank (FHLB) must be notified of any sale, refinance, foreclosure, or ownership change within five years.
